I can't look at orange painted metal tool-related things without thinking of bright orange Dorman cabinets

With what I believe is birds eye maple lining the underside of the domed lid

Lifting off the lid reveals the basket's cedar bark lip as well as its fully saturated original colors

I'm thinking perhaps this was one the topper to something
