I lean towards this seeing play

Since it only takes three spells to get Kiln Fiend up to 10 power (and even more, if we include some pump spells), it is fairly easy to one-shot an opponent early in the game

We either do that by taking off a turn casting spells to turn day to night and switch it back to day so Vadrik puts counters on himself, or we cast a pump spell like Blazing Crescendo

each cumulative upkeep ability will count the total number of age counters on the permanent at the time that ability resolves.

As long as it still has the sticker on it, Clandestine Chameleon will have the ability of that sticker anyway
